Memorial Day

A NATION DEFINED

We are the most blessed, prosperous, Christian nation on this planet.  This being true solely due to the foundation our founding fathers stood on; the undeniable, unchanging truth of God’s Word.  They yielded themselves to God’s purpose, guidance, correction and calling and God blessed what they put their hand to.

We have enjoyed the freedom, protection, prosperity and global influence that resulted from the Godly reverence they acted on, more than 23 decades ago, when they drafted the constitution for this great nation.  They not only considered the bible as a reference, they sought it for direction, studied it for wisdom and truth, and incorporated its words and principles into their lives and the very wording of the constitution.  They prayed fervently and most importantly, quickened to action.  Their obedience to God’s word and God’s call set in motion the longest-standing national governing document (our constitution), in the world. We cannot take for granted what has been passed down to us.  We cannot afford to minimize the gravity of our freedom that has been upheld by previous generations through their sweat and prayers and their blood.

As a Christian and a veteran of this great nation formed under God, I purpose to fan the simmering coals in the hearts of God’s people, back into sparks, then flames, then a raging fire of the Spirit of God, the power of His Word and the might of a people yielded to and acting on God’s sovereign, holy calling and purpose.  God is not defeated and we as God’s people, in this nation formed under God, do not have the luxury of sitting down on our hands and entertaining a defeated mindset!

“Wherefore take onto you the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.”

We are able to stand after “having done all”.

Blessings to my brothers and sisters in Christ!
